MINKEN & PALME ist ein von Nicolas Wollnik und Georg Parthen geschaffener Projektraum in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Ab Januar 2010 finden dort jährlich sechs Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen statt. Dazu erweitern verschiedene Rahmenveranstaltungen den visuellen Diskurs um theoretische und performative Elemente.

Der Raum dient als Experimentierfeld für inhaltliche oder formale Bündelungen und interdisziplinäre Projekte. Neben der Ausstellungstätigkeit ist MINKEN & PALME ein kuratorisches Projekt, mit dem Wollnik und Parthen Ausstellungen und Projekte an anderen Orten, sowie Kooperationen von Künstlern, Kuratoren und Institutionen fördern.

MINKEN & PALME is a curational project and exhibition space created by Berlin-based artists Nicolas Wollnik and Georg Parthen. In 6 year-round group- and solo-exhibitions the founders are eager to facilitate experimental and innovative work. MINKEN & PALME encourages artists to explore new avenues in their practice and to create site-specific installations as an extension of their representative work.

MINKEN & PALME curates and produces exhibitions in its space on Kopenicker Straße in Berlin and in cooperation with curators, artists, and institutions around the world. A catalyst for new approaches in contextualizing contemporary art, MINKEN & PALME is committed to staging original, conceptually driven shows of emerging as well as established artists.

VIDEOTATIONAL I / until August 15, 2011 - CLOSED

VIDEOTATIONAL I is the first in a series of one-night-only screening events and will take place at MINKEN & PALME in Berlin-Kreuzberg on the 25th of August 2011.

The decisions about the selected works for screening are strictly unobjective and based on the personal tastes of a 3-member jury of curators. The jury will make a selection of video works, which will be presented on the 25th of August in a one-night-only screening event. The final results will be announced by e-mail by August 20th.

GENERAL OPEN CALL

We are interested in receiving proposals for solo-, two-person and group shows as well as site-responsive projects. However we ask that you submit only a brief written outline of the proposed exhibition or project in print or PDF-format.

If we are interested in developing an idea further we will request additional information.
